Some frequently asked questions....
Does my pet have to be on a leash or in a carrier?
For your pet's safety, please have your pet on a leash or in a pet
carrier when entering or leaving the Lodge. Some days are very
busy and we would not want any one to be accidentally injured or
frightened.
When can my pet arrive for boarding and/or when can I pick-up?
Pets may schedule their check-in any time prior to 3:30PM during
week-days and 11:00AM on Saturdays. Charges at our normal
daily rate will begin on the day of arrival at whatever time you find
convenient to drop your pet(s) off. Check out time is between
8:00AM and 12:00PM. If pets are picked up prior to checkout
time, there is no charge for that day. If you pick up your pet after
12:00 PM, you will be charged for an additional half day of
boarding. Please understand that there will be NO ADMISSIONS
OR DEPARTURES outside of our normal business hours.
What if I need to cancel my reservation or change my boarding
dates?
Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to make any
adjustments to your reservation. In order to better serve all our
clients, we ask that you give as much notice as possible if you
need to change your reservation. We require a minimum of 3
business days notice for cancellations or changes in arrival or
departure dates. Cancellations or changes made without this
notice will be billed for the full amount of days reserved at the
time the appointment was made.
What vaccinations do you require my pet to have?
For the well being of your pet as well as all other guests at For
Fours Acres Lodge, we require proof of vaccinations, including a
Rabies Certificate, prior to entering the boarding areas.
Vaccination records may be furnished by you when you arrive,
sent by mail, or hand delivered at a convenient time for you.
Please understand that if you should arrive without proof of
vaccinations, your pet will not be allowed to check in. If you are
not bringing the records with you, and you have not previously
provided this information, we recommend you call ahead to
ensure we have received them.
Dogs: Canine DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella
Cats: Feline FVRCP and Rabies
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment is considered due when you pick up your pet. If
someone else picks up your pet for you, they should have the
means by which to settle your account. For your convenience,
we gladly accept the following types of Payment: Cash, Personal
Check, Traveler's Check, or Cashier's Check. Holiday
reservations require a 3-day non-refundable deposit. Extended
stays (over 14 days) will require a two week deposit followed by
bi-monthly payments.
What extra activities are available for boarders?
For Fours Acres Lodges offers additional exercise and playtime
activities for guests to enjoy in while staying at the Lodge. These
activities are in addition to and not in replacement of the daily
attention and care that all our guests receive. All activities are
provided as another way to increase your pet’s enjoyment while
here. All outdoor activities are performed Weather Permitting. If
for any reason your pet is not able to receive a scheduled
activity, charges for that session will not be added to your final
bill. Pets that show any aggression are not eligible for these
activities. Some activities may be suspended on Holidays.
Can I bring my pet's food from home?
Yes, you certainly can. Please provide individual servings for
each meal and label each container. If you are serving "fresh"
(home cooked or a mixture of kibble and home cooked) meals,
please freeze as necessary to ensure freshness.
